How escoff works

Talk it through. Watch the dish build itself.

escoff is a split-screen kitchen studio: describe what you want on the left, and a complete, editable recipe takes shape on the right. No account needed to try it. Sign in to save, share, and pick up where you left off. Available in five languages.

The split screen

Chat on the left. A living recipe on the right.

The left pane is where you talk to the copilot. The right pane is the canvas — the source of truth for your dish. It updates live as the AI works, and every field is editable by hand. Nothing lands on the canvas without your say-so.

Four ways to start

Begin however suits you

Guided Setup

A five-step wizard — category, cuisine, menu role, tags — seeds a fresh canvas. Best for your first recipe.

Chat with Copilot

Just describe what you want. The AI asks a clarifying question or two and starts building.

Upload a photo

Snap your fridge, a grocery list, or a finished dish — the AI reverse-engineers a recipe from it.

Import a recipe

Bring in a PDF, a pasted block of text, or a URL. It's parsed into editable, structured fields.

How a recipe takes shape

From an idea to a finished dish

Chat to mutate, accept what you like, edit by hand for fine control. A typical first session looks like this.

1

Describe it

"Use what I have: spaghetti, pancetta, eggs, parmesan, pepper." The AI populates the canvas and shows you a tool card to accept, edit, or discard.

2

Shape the ingredients

Auto-Adjust rebalances quantities; Calculate Ratios pins a hero ingredient at 100% and rebuilds the rest with baker's math.

3

Set the technique & steps

Generate a unified technique strategy — binding method plus per-ingredient prep — then let it write step-by-step instructions that match.

4

Dial in flavor

Aroma profile, texture target, and taste balance (sweet, salty, acid, umami, heat, fat, bitter) — with one-click corrections for imbalances.

5

Plate & pair

Plating notes, a photorealistic dish image, and sommelier-style drink pairings to finish the presentation.

6

Finalize

Evaluate scores and critiques the dish; Auto-Complete backfills anything you skipped. Then save and share.

What the canvas holds

A structured dish, not a wall of text

The canvas is organised into tool groups. Most offer Pick Manually, AI Recommend, or Auto-Adjust — mix and match as you build.

Title & description

AI title, description, prep/cook/total times, and difficulty.

Recipe basics

Cuisine, category, sub-category, menu role, and culinary tags.

Ingredients

Suggestions, auto-rebalancing, ratios, substitutes, and pricing.

Technique

Binding method and per-ingredient prep, as one coherent strategy.

Instructions

Step lists aligned to the technique, plus sub-recipe decomposition.

Flavor & taste

Aroma fingerprint, texture profile, taste balance, and nutrition.

Presentation

Plating notes, a dish image, drink pairings, and finishing tips.

Grounded by design

The AI describes only what it actually did

Behind the chat is a two-phase pipeline: a planner runs the tools, and a separate composer writes the reply — it can only describe changes that actually landed. A receipt chip under each reply lists every tool that ran and whether its change stuck, so the prose can't drift from your canvas.

Save, share, explore

Keep it, share it, learn from it

Auto-save & history

Signed-in work saves itself, with undo/redo across every change — yours and the AI's. Leave and come back anytime.

Share & fork

Publish a recipe as private, team, unlisted, or public. Any public recipe forks into your own library, lineage preserved.

Explore the knowledge base

Browse ingredients, techniques, and aroma compounds — each with sensory profiles and pairings — for inspiration before you commit.
